It’s officially fall, and families can visit local farms in to grab a pumpkin or enjoy other fall fun! Pumpkin patches in Frederick County, Maryland are already up and running, with some COVID-19 restrictions in place to keep families safe.
Here is a list of some must-visit spots to pick pumpkins from in Frederick County, Maryland:
Pick Your Pumpkin at Brookfield Pumpkins
This fall, Brookfield Pumpkins will be open October 3 through November 1. You can buy pumpkins, corn shocks, gourds and more!
They will not have their petting zoo, face painting or corn maze this year due to COVID-19.
Dogs are no longer allowed.
Pumpkin Picking Mania at Gaver Farm
Until November 3 , you can pick your own pumpkins, sunflowers and go to Fall Fun Days at Gaver Farm’s Pumpkin Patch! Mark your calendars to take make a winter trip for Christmas trees as well!
Tickets are required for Fall Fun Days and must be bought online for a specific date.
So Many Pumpkins at Winterbrook Farms
The hayride is free to their pumpkin patch and just a few minutes from all the farm activities! Pick your pumpkins and bring them back with you on the hayride. The pumpkins will be weighed and you will be charged at a rate of 50 cents per pound. Keep in mind that the pumpkin patch closes at 6 p.m.
Pumpkin Palooza at Summers Farm
Take a free wagon ride to the fields where Summers Farm pumpkins are growing! There’s no admission fee to pick your own pumpkins. Pumpkins are sold by the pound and they’re open starting at 2pm on weekdays and 10am Saturday/Sunday.
