We get it, winter is still here and doesn’t show signs of stopping anytime soon. Thats why we took it upon ourselves to find the BEST hot chocolate spots around town. This list is by no means exhaustive, if you think we missed a good one, let us know! We were not paid or compensated for including any business in this list, we just really love hot cocoa.
Their hot cocoa is made fresh on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday’s using deliciously rich and sweet chocolate! If we had to equate our experience to something else, it would be like drinking a homemade brownie — expect rich and bold flavors. Our 10oz cup was about $4.50.
The Perfect Truffle also makes some of the best truffles and chocolate bars in the area, we picked up a peppermint bar and were pleasantly surprised with how addictingly good it was.
You can also pick up a pack or two of their very own coco mix to make it on your own.
“The chocolate mixes with the hot milk into a smooth tasty treat. The marshmallows are a nice touch and true marshmallows instead of the type that is in any other “instant” mix.”
Hours: Sunday – Thursday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm | Friday – Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
There’s no place like Beans in the Belfry! Located in a historical restored church with country-chic decor, this is the place to go when you’re in the mood for some flavorful hot chocolate.
We ordered one regular hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows and then another hot chocolate but with whipped cream AND vanilla syrup… and it was so good!
Beans in the Belfry has many other syrup flavors including: almond, amaretto, blue raspberry, cherry, coconut, cinnamon, ginger, hazelnut, lemon, lime, macadamia nut, mango, peppermint, red raspberry, root beer, salted caramel, strawberry, and vanilla. You’ll have to let us know if you experimented with any of their syrup flavors!
When visiting, you can expect to spend ~$4.00 for cup of hot chocolate. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can expect to receive the finest quality at Beans in the Belfry!

In the mood for some flavorful hot chocolate and excellent customer service? The Perfect Blend Cafe multiple flavors and toppings! Not only do they have regular hot chocolate, but they also have peppermint, toasted marshmallow, and salted caramel.
We tried the peppermint and toasted marshmallow options and found them to be smooth, sweet, and quite delicious. The toasted marshmallow came piled high with marshmallows, whipped cream, and what we believe was nutmeg.
Similarly, our peppermint hot chocolate came topped with whipped cream and bits of peppermint — yum!
They have both dark and white hot chocolate year round – for a 16oz, it’ll cost you $3.29 + tax.
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm | Saturday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm | Sunday CLOSED
When visiting Beans & Bagels, you can expect the service to be exceptional and the hot chocolate to be simply delicious! They have two flavors for you to choose from: regular and mint. For one cup, it’ll cost you about $3.70.
We highly recommend getting whipped cream and chocolate syrup on yours! It definitely adds a nice touch. The hot cocoa was sweet and rich — a definite step up from what you can make at home.
